In this Roundtable discussion, Indigenous presenters will discuss different ways they have experienced review of research by Tribal Nations. A brief review of Tribal Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and other mechanisms Tribes govern reviewing research will be provided for attendees. Indigenous researchers supporting creation of Tribal IRBs will highlight lessons learned. Indigenous participants will be able to ask Tribal leaders about their roles in approving research, their process and infrastructure, their recommendations, and their concerns regarding governing research data.
