| TROY WIIPONGWII (Chickahominy), PhD, MPP. Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Conservation, Institute for Integrative Conservation at William & Mary

This research project creates a framework that tribal governments can use to implement a robust data governance protocol. It highlights data assessments, human capital, existing and necessary infrastructure, data quality, financial considerations, and a culture of innovation around data governance. This framework highlights objectives and key results to help tribal leaders assess where the tribes are and where they are going. This research builds on previous recommendations of Indigenous data governance policy briefings and publications. As a final element, the research explores several configurations of ICT infrastructure for tribal governments.
